“All of these abandoned and vacant houses are built in the very late 1800s. The resides in the mountains on a huge property that was taken over by the government in the 1970s through eminent domain. The houses were going to be in the way of a major construction project but that project ended up falling through after they acquired the houses. Families who lived in these houses were forced to leave and given barely market value for their home. Some of these houses have been rented out in the years after but as you can see, maintenance is not a priority. Some old cars were found on the properties as well.” –AbandonedSteve
